WHAT IS SPACE-TIME?

Introduction
in this session, we are going to learn about the Space-Time, we are going to talk about the following topics:-
1. Definition of space-time.
2. An experiment to show space-time
3. Effects space-time has on a body.

Conclusion
Space-time is one of the most fundamental concepts of our universe without understanding it, it becomes very difficult to understand other concepts of the universe.

         Try the following Experiment:
Take a piece of cloth fixed with something in all the sides. Don't keep anything under it and put a tennis or metal ball on it.
         What will you observe?
You will observe that the ball displaces the cloth from its mean position as shown in the above figure.

This is what we call space-time. Imagine the whole space as that piece of cloth and all celestial body as that tennis or metal ball. It is how the universe works.

The more a body displaces the space-time the slower time passes in that body.
Gravity also depends on space-time. Larger the body more the space-time it displaced by it and thus more is the gravity.

Not just a celestial body displaces space-time. Even you at this particular moment while reading this blog are displacing space-time.

Displacement of space-time does not depend on the volume or size of the body but it depends on the mass of the body. The more the mass of a body more will be the space-time displaced.
For Example- A Neutron Star which is of the size of a medium-sized city can displace space-time more than our sun.

Now its time for a question leave its answer below in the comment section
Why is our universe expanding and why isn't all objects are attracted towards the centre of the universe?
